Virmach (cloud vps host) lost a whole /17 today 🤯

ie. Their customers are facing a global outage across different continents.

There are some failure modes you plan for, and then some like this that just slap you right up your face. Luckily all my important shit is self hosted at home and our relays are not on Virmach. But I lost my public peertube and some email servers for a bit lol 🎻

Oh and the standard recourse, if they can't recover their supernet, is to re-address everything. The good news is I switched to dnscontrol a few months ago so updating records will be pretty easy. But I've seen them do that before.

Anyway, I feel for them as they're having a really bad day right now.
