there is so little live performance of anything anymore. instrumentalists and singers are vanishing faster than the family unit.

In the US it even faster. While I like mixing ethnicities and nationalities, we lost the festivals from our original cultures. For example, my mother is half Irish and the only orish thing our family has ever done is eat corn beef and cabbage on st Patrick's day
