I think there are a lot of these people, but i've come to realise that people who can't differentiate between personal attacks vs discussing a topic, and succumb towards putting you down is often a reflection of them, their insecurity, their need for attention, their lack of knowledge, lack of social skills, no manners and absolute lack of emotional intelligence. I tell myself I have this one precious life - do I want to entertain noise and drama and negativity ? Maybe not lol. Doesn't mean its not a put down, or I am not upset by it - but i think i am just going to continually strengthen the mental blockage. You can't grow if you are focused on everything and everyone else that's bringing you down
