It’s been so long since I’ve purchased an external hard drive and lol at how cheap disk is now…

I was legit forced to purchase 4TB HDD minimum and it cost HUNDREDS less than what a gig would cost my Dad in the 90s when we would go to Radio Shack 😂😂

I found 5x 512GB drives in the dumpster for electronic waste of my block yesterday! \o/

Picked them up in joyful luck, and 10 minutes later i got a smol panic... 😅 not sure what to do, wipe them carelessly and enjoy some archival space, examine them looking for horrendous crime evidence and potentially be marked for life, put them back.... what to do what to do....

The only crimes i found were:

1. running systemd on their NAT

2. not knowing how to run fsck

3. Creating horrendous music with proprietary music software. (ok to be fair, i probably just don't understand the music)

3 out of 5 where physically dead, but one of the functioning one is a 1TB drive! WINNNNN!!!! Will do great as a photo redundancy drive!
