Yes, thats how I implemented it. I then add the other clone urls as alternative remotes names ngit0, ngit1, etc
the intention for allow multiple clone urls was so that the data related to the same master branch tip could be accessed from multiple locations for censorship resistance reasons.
It didn't occur to me that it would be used to point to repositories with different tips.

would the first item in `clone` be the default remote?
