101st tour? Is that the one that contador and froome crashed early and Nibali dominated?

I think so yeah. It’s his little stories about the tour and France itself. Just a really great insight. Loads of background stories on the teams as well. Not something I’ve been to before but all the family have and say it’s great to witness.

I’d suggest you Tour de france: unchained. If you haven’t watched the series already, even as an occasional it is satisfying and exciting to watch. The Jumbo double-pronged to attack on col de telegraph will go down in history

Will definitely give it a go thanks. I liked the Icarus documentary on Netflix.

Fun fact! Did you know that it’s not allowed to speak about doping in Reddit main cycling subreddit? You have to do it in a side thread if you want to! Some moderation is good but reddit mods have gone full psycho even with the bans

I didn’t know this. Makes me laugh how serious it all becomes. I can’t see how most of them don’t dope even if it’s for the mountain stages.

There is a lot more control and testing now. Quintana got banned for tramadol usage let alone if they found any EPO trace

They run the risk big time don’t they. Are they lengthy when they get a ban?

They are actually. They took procycling reform with an iron hand unlike the usa legal system where the guilty one just has to throw money around. They are banned, fined and thejr victories are revoked. They are also prepared and know where to look at since they learned every trick from Eufemiano Fuentes. Mf was even doing blood transfusions to cover it.
