Make sense. I understand it for those who don't own a domain. But if we own a domain, I assume the goal of NIP05 is to use it, since it offers a greater proof of identity. Like #[0] does.

You can use GitHub to host your personal site for free, also the "Team" plan price is $50/year, pretty fair. For domains, Namecheap has better prices than Google. You could also explore Handshake domains, a Bitcoin fork, in short is a well-done Namecoin, full DNS compatible.
