i remember as a teenager / early college student asking based (long before based was a thing lol) folks why we hated russia so much when they seemed to be despite their flaws, better overall than the usa.

few months ago had a church elder tell me that they were "communist"🤦‍♂️

also wasn't taught squat for russian history in school

I sure wouldn't call him a friend, he is still a statist with a lot of blood on his hands. Interested to hear what he says. The whole Russian boogyman thing is ridiculous.
