is there something going on where comments #s are inflated?
one of my posts has like 40 comments, but I have no view of them
spam filtering? i think Primal is cleaning up spam, but doesnāt remove spam messages from the count yet

Amethyst will still show the count and they could be filtered from reports from those you follow.
