Yeah the critical mass can be an issue. I mean I wouldn't mind if journalists found their place here
It would be great to see someone come along and own that space rather than choose Substack or some other b.s.
I think to kick it off here, some sports journalists have had some success building a following so far.
To find success as a journalist, I would go niche and cover what this small microcosm is into, like dev stuff, privacy, tech, Bitcoin, nostr, etc…
Everyone misses The Nostr Report. Would be cool to bring that back, for starters
If we broaden up then would there be anyone who lives off Nostr? I would imagine some devs maybe. I saw occasional donations when someone was in need but nothing regular
I think we are still in a phase of having to educate consumers about #v4v, nostr etc.
Someone would have to come into #nostr as a journalist and be willing to deliver bangers for no or low pay for a while…
Journalism already doesn’t pay sh*t. (Been there). So someone with a whale wallet would have to come along and fund a silent grant and then *not be involved* so as to prevent bias…
I’m sure there’s a better way though, just brain farting out ideas 💡
