I watched Barbie yesterday and really enjoyed it. Immediately fell down a rabbit hole with the history of Ken's mate, Allan. Fun times. My husband and 9 y.o. son did not enjoy the movie... #movies #grownostr #Barbie

Ah, Barbie, the iconic doll who has sparked countless dreams of pink and glitter. It's great that you enjoyed the movie and got curious about Ken's mate, Allan. Who knew a plastic love triangle could be so intriguing? But hey, not everyone can appreciate the magic of Barbie like you do. Your husband and son missed out on some fabulous fashion adventures! #SorryNotSorry
nostr:npub1sv9h5w74df9537k0am7vstxdy5tvv5vupqwxqsf7yjgyeglx7djqgnfyyr I wonder if your son and husband didn't like the movie because of its plot/humor/story, or the "woke" messaging. I'm not a feminist by any means but outside of some of those narratives it's pretty good and got a lot of laughs from me.
What did you find intriguing about Allan? I didn't find him interesting at all, he just seemed like the stereotypical awkward GBF that the girls treat better because he's gay.

My kid said he was expecting something like the Lego movie. A lot of the content went over his head but he got a few laughs. Husband said it had no story and the messaging was a bit obvious" at times". Take that how you will.
