Being algorithm free = Honey for the soul
Nostr already has algorithms, and will continue to have more. Hopefully with more marketplaces and free choice, and less force-feeding algos down user's throats to please the advertisers.
The goal is to give you, the user, the ultimate authority over the algos that you use. You should have the ability to be as hands on or hands off as your heart desires. Manage the algos yourself. Or pick the people who manage them for you. Or pick the people who pick the people who pick the people (etc ad infinitum) who manage the algos.
As a user, I only want content from people I follow. Scrolling X is horrific, I get fed content from users I don’t follow that’s meant to draw emotion… and I don’t want that… rabbit holes everywhere that rob me of my good energy.
Can have passionate and respectful conversations here, even w/memelords.
