I REGRET SELLING A TOWER

It was a 3 section guyed tower, i thik 30 feet.

Got it for free by just removing it for someone that wasnt a ham.

Thing is, all the trees right by me are at least 90ft tall so I dont think it would have mattered. And also, the guy wires would have got in the way.

I just put a wooden post out there for now.

I'll raise it up by like 5 feet tomorrow.

Ironically, my favorite antenna is a long wire made out of solid core 316L mig welding wire that just runs to the back of my lot.

This one is fine, but being so close to the house, a lot of inverter noise. I hope this move will make it more quiet.

I am not sure what bands you want to operate on, but a doublet at 90 feet makes a killer antenna for 160 and 75 meters, and one at 45 feet makes a damn good antenna for the upper HF bands. A compressed air launcher will get the antenna wires up in the trees with ease.

I experimented with a black powder charge for this, but ended up just blowing off the branch I wanted to put an antenna across
