El Salvador 🇸🇻: The president of El Salvador, Nayib Bukele, ordered a military siege in the department of Cabañas in order to capture gang members who settled in the area.

7,000 soldiers and 1,000 police are involved in the operation.

“Your job will be to stop gang members from leaving the department and cut off all supply lines to terrorist groups. In recent weeks and as a result of our war against gangs, Cabañas has become the place with the highest number of terrorist cells, which arrived there looking for their rural areas to hide," declared the president.
