Hollywood's Golden Age Actress Rita Hayworth on a 1948 Triumph Speed Twin 500cc.

The legendary actress/dancer Rita Hayworth, who was one of the top stars during Hollywood's Golden Age, was born 1918. Hayworth, who was under contract at Columbia, starred in such musicals as 1941's "You'll Never Get Rich" and 1942's "You Were Never Lovelier" with Fred Astaire and 1944's "Cover Girl" with Gene Kelly,made several films with Glenn Ford including the iconic 1946 noir romance "Gilda"-and starred with her then-husband in 1947's "The Lady from Shanghai.

She was absent from the screen from 1948-1952 when she married Prince Aly Khan. Hayworth died of Alzheimer's in 1987 at the age of 68.
