About to receive my Italian passport (mothers side of the family) through ancestry. Contemplating quality of life variance from BC, Canada and Tuscany (outskirts of Florence/Siena).

Western world in decline - Canada to be worst hit due to lack of long standing cultural identity/grounding tradition. Italy also in trouble with European membership, but likely to weather the storm better in a dark couple of decades maybe?

Also Italian meats, cheeses and wines.

Every life decision is a fork in the road. Blessed to have choices (eternally grateful) - but choices hard to make nonetheless

I'd choose the one with the most of these:

- family

- friends

- skilled and self-reliant community (agriculture & trades)

- country side

- mild climate

- outside of core WEF countries (IT does sound better than CA)

- country with history of populationdisrespectingg stupid regulations and laws

- gun ownership

Family and friends in England and Canada mostly. Italy seems to tick most of those boxes. Canada has been cucked for a while.
