It's almost impossible to use cash nowadays in my corner of the world. Most shops won't accept it under the excuse of convenience and reduced security risks (despite extremely low crime rates). At the same time, people gets kicked out of the banking system for unusual movements on their "p2p" bank apps, because we must fight illegal activities and money laundering.

Stage 1 of #CBDC implementation is almost completed and pretty much no one has blinked.
