I would like to see Anbernic release a clamshell design with the same features as the SP (quick sleep on close) but the form factor of, oh I don't know, a DS/2DS XL.

That's my concern as well, I decided (ordered last night) on the Anbernic RG40XX V as it's got a bigger screen and is larger so should be more comfy to hold. Plus, reviewers universally praise the d-pad and buttons! Really looking forward to playing Game Boy Color, GBA, and SNES games in particular.
I got the SP as well, I play it more lol. Nostalgia machine, is like incredible! It's bigger than the original SP so I'm not getting the same hand cramps I used to. Either that or I'm not playing it as much as when I was a kid with less things demanding my attention.
