I agree. It is a strange thing compared to where we were before. Before it was maybe 90% normal polite learrning, information, debate and 10% insults. Now it is the other way round as soon as I post something on Twitter. Hyper bubbleisation or extreme polarised tribalisation or whatever we want to call it. Instead of some fun "gotchas" from time to time, now it feels like a race to see who can come up with the most contemptuous personal insult as quickly as possible, and other thousands of followers "like" and retweet the insults and contempt. Giga-chad thug culture or something.

That's the question, isn't it. Will Nostr be able to keep all of that polarised tribal nonsense away or is it inevitable over time as more people pile in because, well, humans?

indeed. one factor that could make the difference, though: here, you can’t delete your nonsense. in the end, who could guess, the more freedom you have, the more responsability. thus tolerance?
