You can do both. To register the entire domain, use the nip05 username "_" (underscore).
I didn't realize you could just NIP-05 an entire domain instead of just a "user@" 👀
Does this prevent you from also adding "user@" NIP-05s nostr:npub1t0nyg64g5vwprva52wlcmt7fkdr07v5dr7s35raq9g0xgc0k4xcsedjgqv?
