I'm watching old school doctor who and tripppin out on the psychedelic architecture

Actually. If you want psychological. This story arc I'm on right here is fucking IT yo.
These aliens are abducting people apparently. From their times (all war times but separate wars) and they're bringing them to this like simulated battle field so they still think they're home and fighting their war. And they're doing like war games.
But I haven't figured out why yet. I'm only half way through. They're like teaching other aliens how to hypnotize the humans by wearing glasses. But like I dunno why yet. They're seemingly not like classrooms watching the wars take placeπ€·π½ and I also don't think the aliens are going in and pretending their fighters to like hint for sport or anything. It's still a mystery to me.

I was a big fan of troughton, but now that I'm going through em more finely... I really dicking love hartnell omg
How hartnell is all like "oh really?" When people are like I gotcha bitch! And he proceeds to thoroughly flip the power dynamic every single time
I hadn't seen many of the black&white episodes. Ill make it a point to binge them

Hartnell is so good and troughton too.
Hartnell I had this idea though that he was just like a prototype before I started going through these more legitimately. I had seen the gunslingers and another one I think but I couldn't remember which. With such limited experience with him I was like , ah he's barely the doctor! Sure he has the TARDIS, sure he travels through time. But he's kind of an old man with his granddaughter. They hadn't come up with the backstory yet or all the convoluted twists in that backstory. It's only because they got rid of hartnell that the real doctor who exists and it created the regeneration system.
But now that I'm on the last troughton story and also the last black and white before color, I didn't time with both troughton and hartnell and he's so much more flushed out on my mind. He has his own quirks and personality. It's great!
I also recommend if you can, when you watch them in order. On the last hartnell episode /reconstruction before you watch the first troughton episode, watch the 12th doctor's "twice Upon a time" and you'll have your first nu-who classic who connection and oh it feels so good!

So I decided fuck it. They're on Tubi except for the missing ones. And the missing ones have reconstructions on archive.org. Fuck it π€·π½
