I have tried every note taking app out there and it looks like I'll be moving back to #WorkFlowy from #Logseq for most digital second brain, information management, productivity, note taking things.

I love Logseq, but original simplicity is beautiful. WorkFlowy is deceptively powerful, and the new updates look wonderful. I have missed it.

I still like Obsidian

Obsidian is great for markdown-based note-taking. I've tried it and can see why people love it.

For me, Logseq has been ideal for privacy-focused outliner-style, second-brain stuff with a daily journal workflow, and honestly, I still love it for journaling. WorkFlowy pioneered the outliner approach years ago and I've used it for years.

Now I think WorkFlowy is taking its original simplicity and adding features inspired by what Roam and Logseq expanded on, but doing it in smart ways.

If it doesn't work out for everything, I'll just keep using WorkFlowy for basic second brain productivity and information management, and go back to Logseq for the rest. But I'm pretty excited about the new calendar/daily note feature, AI integration and other stuff WorkFlowy's been rolling out.

If it's not open source, is not an option for me. I'll use a Franklin Planner if I have to.

Joplin is my main note app.

I enjoy Anytype. Absolute fantastic concept, end to end encrypted etc.
