We do not need a YouTube clone, in fact, any such clone is practically destined to fail.

Nostr has an advantage where content can be seen directly in social feeds. This means we don’t need a place that aggregates content - that may actually be a legal liability as well.

We need more of a 1-1 relationship type of video client where each creator has a dedicated feed and people can hop between the ones they follow without seeing one specific niche and quickly dismissing the entire “platform”

Go small to go big.

That's why #Nostr devs rock, they think strategically♟️

Yes! But how?

You build a pattern style client first and focus on individual relationships with creators who won’t mind doing the extra work and brining their audiences over.

Do this enough times with enough people, and ONLY then enable client-wide content browsing.

Throwing people into a YouTube style client is just going to result in them leaving.

Technically speaking, yes. But that's not what content creators want or what attracts them. They simply want a large audience and a share of the advertising revenue.
