Good night, NOSTR Friends! Today was productive, even though I did not enjoy sorting through my closet & dresser to find and remove clothes that have worn out and/or mysteriously "shrunk" since last time I sorted the closet and dresser.

I dug red raspberry plants at my dad's house today and brought them home to sort so I can plant some in the raspberry patch or pot and sell some on NOSTR and on FB Marketplace. I'm asking $2/raspberry plant They are first-year pllants; they do not produce berries in their first year. They come from stock that has been in my family over 35 years. Many (delicious) jellies, fruit pancake toppings, pies and cobblers have been produced from this line of berries over the past 3.5 decades.

After getting the raspberry plants, I mowed the yard and started planting the yearling raspberry plants in cups for sale. I"ll finish potting them tomorrow.

Now I need to figure how I offended the gods of Facebook who shut me out of Marketplace. I hope they're feeling kind and forgiving, because it will make things much easier to sell the potted raspberry plants.

Good night, Friends!

Raspberries are the best! Heres my patch

Raspberries are my favorite fruit! You have a nice patch of raspberries. Looks like more than I have!

My parents made a framework from 2” PVC pipe to hold netting above the canes (and let it drape over all 4 sides) to keep birds off the berries. It worked pretty well. If there are orchards/fruit farms nearby, they may give (or sell cheap) year-old sections in the spring.
