They're just trying to ride the coat tails of Bitcoin while pretending they're the same or on equal footing. It's okay to use other tools if they meet some need better than "stock" Bitcoin. But it isn't okay to just pretend there aren't tradeoffs. Bitcoin is Bitcoin. That thing is that thing. I just want everyone to be honest.

And I'll be the first to admit that Bitcoin doesn't meet every need for every person. It isn't perfect at everything, but it does what it does well better than anything else.
