A handful of points in the very particular order that they pop into my brain:

- Technical vs networking

- Structured vs open

- Typical meeting time/venue

- How you plan to broadcast events

One thing I love about our meetup is that we don’t have a fixed “Nth Thursday of every month,” but we do have a very active chat group. So we are often able to accommodate when friends-of-friends are in town. Or schedule when people ordinarily too far away are in the city for other reasons. Makes for a stronger network. But the tradeoff is it’s not as predictable for Internet randos…or our spouses LOL

Thank you. My primary goal would be to network, secondary would be educational. I'd love to just join one, but every one in my state is inactive now.

You may be able to contact the prior organizer and reboot from the existing platform. Often people will check back in.

Fantastic idea, thank you
