Nostr has not fixed (nor would it, I'm being facetious) how goddamn difficult written communication can be when having a discussion with someone. It's so unnatural for me, which is weird given my status as a millennial. Unfortunately, it often leads to frustration that compounds the issue for me. I'm not sure I can solve this problem. Currently, I'm ending conversations in a civil manner when I start to get frustrated. It could be that I just need to avoid discussions in this format, especially for even moderately complex issues.

Anyone else have this issue?

Non verbal communication is the meaningful part of the conversation. In written statements you create that part based on previous experiences and it will rarely match reality. By voice is a little bit better but still is far away from real contact.
