I've decided to cap my follows at 100 and I'm currently following 101. Someone's got to go.

Half of these people never let anyway. I think they all fucked off back to Twatter.

"Never let"? Never post more like.

I think follow lists are coming..? But it's quite nice having an alt which follows only a handful of people. I think a lot of us have come from having breaks of social media and part of me misses that. I also have no self control and can get easily addicted to scrolling and posting endless turd lol

I don't know what a follow list is, sorry.

I generally think social media is awful but this is the first time I've really had an account anywhere where I acted more or less like myself and I find myself using it a lot more as a result. It helps that this place seems to be a lot less political than other platforms and that I've found people here who share my taste in music.

I saw it mentioned by the amethyst dude. But tbh I didn't actually pay proper attention. I assumed it would be like making a list of 'music posting people', 'hiking' or whatever. So your feed isn't just 1000 people and a total mess. But might be useless if you've whittled down your follow anyway

Ah, that's an interesting idea. I probably follow too many news accounts. I like the content but they post too much and I end up missing stuff from the people I actually interact with. Chucking them on a separate list would be handy.

I'm still whittling the follows down anyway - half the people I follow don't post anymore. Fuck 'em.

Maybe nostr is the gateway drug to no social media usage for some?

I think it's more that they didn't get enough attention here so they buggered off back to their old platforms. Happens all the time.

Keeping a tight circle 🔵

If I follow too many people then I inevitably miss posts from my favourite accounts. I like to check the global feed too so I don't feel the need to pad out my follows.

Just remember, if you unfollow you'll miss out on high quality memes like this:
