Explained Nostr to a friend today: "what's the lightning for?"

Initially I thought they were asking about the lightning network... Chatted through the base layer, scaling, faster payments etc

"No, on your profile, what's the lightning bolt?"

Me: "Ohhhhh, that's zaps! I can send and receive fractions of a Bitcoin with people"

"What you're making real money on this?"

Yup...

"I am starting an account"

Sometimes what we take for granted is the hook. Must remember to 1) tell people about zaps and 2) zap the hell out of Nostr accounts I like!
