It would cause more hurdles for bitcoin adoption than it would provide benefits. You have to qualify under 501(c)(3) as a tax exempt church, org, or entity & you have to apply to the IRS for the tax exempt status. Good luck meeting these listed requirements:

Sorry don’t need to apply if you meet 501(c)(3) but the church of satoshi would most likely not qualify
