I understand that patches have to be scrutinized on the extreme in the kernel and the formating guidelines have a reason to be there. But I feel like the language used in his third intervention about the hotplug eventing was... very harshly worded. While I understand why he did that, I also understand if people are put off by this kind of response. It's... Unfortunate.
