Knots Node question on fee setting ...... 4 sats/vB = X sats/KvB . What does X equal.

Who out there has ever sent Bitcoin via a Bitcoin Knots Node ? I don't understand this "sats/Kvb" unit of measurement.

So if I set my fee to 4000 sats/KvB in this new unit of measurement ... that equates to 4 sats / vB in the old unit of measure ?
