nostr:npub16qct6ge6zdr72yxrw2cc0rsqyp9j9qrjs9pkz3gkydc839jrtk5sj8al6e the mindset here is heavily egalitarian. if the rich can have it, so should the poor. in practice, we can't afford that. we would simply have to ban private healthcare. it doesn't look like that's what's happening though. the sector is growing. doctors are running away from public healthcare to these private clinics and hospitals because they pay better and are less hard work. and there is already a shortage of doctors. one of the easiest ways to migrate to Norway is to get a job as a doctor here.

nostr:npub16qct6ge6zdr72yxrw2cc0rsqyp9j9qrjs9pkz3gkydc839jrtk5sj8al6e to be honest with you, there is a lot about the Norwegian model that appears to be undergoing a slow collapse at the moment, where things aren't quite what they seem. the doctors running away to private healthcare. a housing market in Oslo that is not functioning anymore. a gradually decreasing trust in politicians. and politicians have been unable to protect us from the effects of global inflation. a recent poll says 1 in 5 households don't have enough money to pay the bills.
