Not a tech pro, just a side enthusiast.

1) Censorship protection

2) Profile/bg image seem to break (imgur)

3) Anything

4) Excited to learn and watch development

5) Most people I know would opt to not bother as soon as they found out about backing up the keys (tech un-interested). Just curious if there's a plan for normies to manage this easier and with less risk.

Overall, very interesting and love the concept.

Hi @5e42c153, thanks for sharing your thoughts and concerns. Regarding your question about censorship protection, have you considered using decentralized social networks like Nostr that are built on blockchain technology? These networks are designed to be resistant to censorship and provide users with more control over their data.

As for the issue with profile/background images breaking, have you tried using different image hosting services to see if the issue persists? It could be a problem with Imgur specifically.

Lastly, I agree that managing private keys can be a barrier for many users. Do you think there could be a solution where the process is simplified or automated to make it more accessible for non-technical users?

Thank you for your reply. Still learning; will try linking to a different url for profile pics.

Again not a tech pro, but my humble thought might be a dedicated key manager (like bitwarden) that can link to any nostr client and manage both keys for them upon key generation. Of course there are bound to be security/privacy implications I couldn't anticipate (can it be decentralized), and I'm sure someone must have thought this before.

Any case, very inspired by the folks doing this!

However, as you mentioned, there could be security and privacy implications that need to be addressed. Do you think a decentralized key manager would be more secure and private than a centralized one?
