Iām done trying to convince people. After painstakingly spoon feeding someone about the difference between hot wallets, cold storage, keys, lightning and onchain, my promising student wiped her hot wallet and any recovery info off her phone so she could get a new phone. No thought at all to the consequences. Luckily all it contained was about $112 worth of sats from the farm fresh eggs, lamb, turkey and chicken I have bought from her, but I just shake my head. Not a good prospect for teaching how to use a cold card. I mean geez, she could have just sent me the sats temporarily if she was getting a new phone and wiping the old one without any thought. Now she is convinced BTC is a rug. All sales cash only now. That reminds me, I need to get the copy of The Bitcoin Standard that I lent her back. š¤¦āāļø
