I think it makes sense to just disable VPN only while using bank apps or Netflix like apps. Use it everywhere else.
But if im using the same VPN(and IP) while using my anon apps and my personal apps, they can easily match my identity.
Privacy is safety. Better to have different devices for different identities.
Excellent point that I wish more people knew.
It’s for more of an advanced threat model but varying connections per app/website (tedious to do manually but can be done automatically using SPN or different Tor circuits) helps prevent potential/theoretical correlation attacks.
