The *protocol^ for it's encryption is unique & elegant. Every message looks like it comes from a brand new identity. so the metadata of conversations can't easily be correlated. WhatsApp/Facebook just know all of that metadata by default.
SimpleX is like signal, but uses many relays instead of just one (among other privacy enhancements).
Doesn't yet sell your data about your contacts and friends to anyone and everyone for any price.
