Had to buy the 50 GB iCloud+ plan. The 5 GB free plan is a joke. Just the device backups are like 3.5 GB

Dunno how it works on Android 🤔

What is the backup for? I dropped cloud storage quite a while back. There are options to have your own backup cloud on android. But it requires work. I mainly just have photo backup now.

I think the backup is the apps and data on your device … to be able to restore it if the need arises

I guess my needs have changed a lot. I used to use cloud backups. Now it mostly seems unnecessary.
