What transport to use instead?

The client should do wss:// so the user dont have to type it

Some do this for you already

Some even use ws://

Amethyst is a friendly client

It's confusing. There are 2 different relay info tabs. Each showing different info, different number of relays that are live.

It'll work over VPN or clearnet.

There's Spring browser. Looks very promising. I can code my own UI with it. Less ugly than a DM bot for something non-trivial
