You were wrong Gigi. Bitcoin is not a clock. How does it know when 10 minutes have passed to keep the difficulty adjustment on track? It references other clocks.

How can a higher block have a negative delta to the unix timestamp of a lower block?

Because it references the median timestamp of the previous 11 blocks. It’s really not that profound.
