The same reason the “ogs” got behind nostr.band fake numbers… to pump interest in their project and collect them grants/investments so they don’t have to go work coding in the doldrums of corporate offices.
The disconnect between clients is interesting. On Amethyst shows 259, I could believe I've somehow amused that many of you. On Primal 512... I do not for a second believe I'm that entertaining or informative.
But numbers aside I'm just here to enjoy writing notes, seeing others notes and occasionally a zap or 2.
