According to a release from Vandenberg Space Force Base (VSFB) in California and the U.S. Air Force Global Strike Command (AFGSC), the AFGSC will conduct a test launch of an unarmed Minuteman III intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) sometime between 11:01 p.m. Pacific Time and 5:01 a.m Pacific Time. The test was scheduled years in advance and in accordance with existing bi-lateral agreements, relevant decision-makers in Russia were notified beforehand of the test.
