Next time you travel by car, no gps. Figure out the general route by looking at a physical map before you leave and just go with the flow. Use the sun, the stars and highway signs to guide you. Getting lost csn be the best part of your trip. If you have never ended up a couple hours in the opposite direction of your destination, you have NEVER taken a true road trip.

This is a good way to keep your hippocampus from shrinking as much or as quickly as you age. It's more fun, too!

I used one once prob 20 yrs ago. Fuck that. Never did again. And I dont have it at my finger tips at the moment, but there is at least one study about that and specifically mentions the hippocampus if memory serves. Have it book marked on another device actually

In fact, it something I had taken notice to in two people that I know. They are so reliant on it that they need it to get to places they have driven to many times long before gps was a thing. Its kinda sad actually
