Probably not. Contemporary musicians are obliged to compete against all other musicians from across the planet and throughout the past via low cost and easily transmitted recordings. Nostr and value for value may help for some contemporary musicians in a small way, but the economics of supply v. demand suggests that it will be very difficult to compete against the stockpile of existing music without exploring more extreme niches.
