Session ditched their Monero based tech for an erc-20 token. And you can discuss it on their Discord channel.

Does not make the messenger itself less private, but switching to solarpunk technologies in the backend is not a good sign.

you mean as the blockchain? because session nodes required staked OXEN which was monero based. you mean they switched token chains completely? That would require a rewrite of the nodes as well.
