This is why I hate the "intrinsic value" argument. Not only is it a stupid metric that means nothing but the more "intrinsic" the value the actual less use it had as money!

Bitcoin is 100% monetary premium

Calling the non monetary value of gold noise, is a an excellent way to view it.

It's a weakness of our primitive chimp brains that places a premium on being able to hold a thing to prove its worth. Indeed the most valuable "things" are not tangible (e.g. love, courage, integrity, loyalty, natural rights, TIME).

The "hold-ability" of a thing is really just a crude proxy for its underlying proof-of-work. Most just fail to make the connection.
