I don't think Bitcoin "is" freedom. It is a catalyst. It changes your perceptions, your outlook, understandings, etc.
It is both a currency and an asset, simply.
Having access to it, spending it, and saving it enables you to experience a certain level of freedom. The mindset you obtain with it, however...that's the freedom. Seeing people taking control of their money? that's freedom. Enabling underrepresented groups to access currency and build wealth? that's freedom. Platforms like Nostr that enable speech in an otherwise unfriendly world? that's freedom.
