The total conservative vote is significantly higher than the 38% we see in this graphic - and there are many leftwing people who are devout. So religion doesn't properly explain the Spanish right-wing. And historically Falangism was never really a religious movement. Franco forced it into a cooperation it didn't really want.

And this is because the conservatism, that has it's roots in Catholicism. That was at least what the correspondent of Yle said in her report before the elections.

Not least because there are so many transphobes and homophobes who are not religious.)
