It is absolutely an identity ideological tool to send a message to these people.

Apparently you know nothing about how Catholics view beauty.

Did you know beauty is the way to correlate to God in aesthetics and hence why cathedrals and churches have always been built as beautiful places?

Maybe it would do you some good learning about the war on beauty in general and how classical education is aimed to rescue beauty in our daily life.

Well, to be fair, he said religious people, not Catholics, specifically. Catholics are the most pro-beauty sector of the religious conservatives.

That's why the others think we're decadent heathens, after all. 😂

Not all religious people are Christians, as well.

It does not look like that person uses religious people with that distinction.

The Catholics in general, be it laypeople or religious ones, do keep and spread the praise for beauty.

The exceptions prove it, as they are few and far between, usually associated with neopentecostal somehow.
