I am good at breaking things. Anyone understand #start9? I don't see ports open that should be. Mainly 8333. I'm going crazy here.

Use the GUI first.

How so? I installed core and it is syncing, but really slow and inconsistently

Start9 auto assigns a tor address and .local address. It appears to be random and arbitrary. Like one time mine was fun-racing.local or something like that, lol

I'm confused. I have logged in through the IP address.

I suppose you could, but you don't know it? You could show all hostnames on the network is what I was thinking.

I know it, just wondering why port 8333 isn't open for BTC.

It uses TOR

Ah, is there a way to make sure it is open properly?

Connect to it via the rpc?

Because start9 uses tor I think for core by default

Is port 8333 (bitcoin p2p) open on Tor nodes? I see tor running. It seems reasonable that it might not be.
